MY RSS FEEDER EXPERİENCE
I have heard about it before but I have not used it.It is a software which allows you to follow many blogs:RSS FEEDER. RSS is acronym for Really Simple Syndication. If you are following many blogs, instead of controlling them every day whether they have been updated or not,you can set up RSS Feeder and it checks them for you and displays the new notifications.
I follow some blogs about cooking, travelling, comedy, education and teaching English. After setting up RSS Feeder,I have realized that I have not long entered most of the sites which I follow also some of them have not been updated for a long time so RSS gives you opportunity to make analysis like these on the websites you follow.
You can see some of the websites and blogs which I follow and there is a new notification for me :)
Above is the way of adding new link onto RSS Feeder. You click on the ''+'' botton on the left side of the page for adding link, then copy the link, paste and click ''Search''.However there are some websites which do not allow you to add to RSS Feeder for different reasons.
Above you can see a notificaton of an educational blog An English Teacher;Özge Karaoğlu is owner of this blog,I think this blog is worthwhile following for preservice teacher like us.She introduces useful and interesting technological tools for language learning students especially young learners and gives ideas and suggestions to the teachers .Life long learning is indispensible for a teacher so you can benefit from this blog for lasting your learning. It is inspiring!
Do not forget:A good teacher is a good student!!!
Lastly, this blog is one of my last findings.Nowadays,I am spending my time studying on it.First of all,it is for learning English and it makes it in an eccentric way :) You both learn English and laugh:). :):) of course if you understand the joke but don' t worry because it explains why the joke is funny.By these cartoons and jokes, students learn more about English culture and get familiar with English idiomatic expressions. The blog says ''Idioms are the weirdest part of English language. They never mean what they say.''The blog wants you to look at the picture and guess about the meaning.Guessing games take part in many parts of teaching and learning period therefore this website is an unusual source for this.
Here is an example from the blog.It gives idiomatic meaning, literal meaning, usage, origin of the idiom. It explains why the cartoon is funny. Also, sample sentences which are given make your understanding better.
Please, inform me if you find such eccentric websites for English language learning.I am really eager to hear about it.What about you?
