CREATING AN ONLINE POSTER

Hello everyone;

This week's assignment is CREATING AN ONLINE POSTER.Frankly I can say that this is one of the most enjoyable works during the period.We are asked to prepare an online movie poster based on a book we read and imagine that our books were being into the movie and we are responsible for their advertising.

I have chosen ''Hiroshima'' written by John Hersey as the book.There has never been a movie based on this book.It really made me surprised because the book has got a very suitable plot for a movie.Also,it tells about the most devastating event the world has ever known.It is the story of the real people.I think we need awareness about this tragedy as the people of today's world and a movie can transmit it to the next generations.I hope that a director or producer hears my suggestion ;).

I have used Postermywall as a tool for this assignment.
This tool lets you create posters,videos and graphics.I like most that it gives you free download opportunity.Also it is very easy to use.It has got thousands of templates which are designed in professional style.You can choose the one and start creating an online poster.

Well,what about educational side of creating a poster?

I have mentioned above that while I was working on this project,I had some fun.I have learned new things and applied them into the language.Finally,I have created an outcome.When I look at this outcome,I get happy even though it is not great.I think,this thought reflects my students'thought.This is the first reason.

Secondly,posters are commonly used in Language classrooms.They serve Visual Intelligence that is very important in Multiple Intelligence based classrooms.Students can prepare it and enjoy their outcomes.Also these posters can be used as peripheral learning tools which are necessary for inductive language learning.

Thirdly,such activities increase the interest of the students toward language and motivate them.

Lastly,whatever topic you want can be used for preparing a poster ,even an abstract form.Actually,I prefer the abstract ones because they serve the creativity mostly.

I have got a question for you:

If you prepared a movie poster based on a book,which book would you use?Why?
